Construction on Fort Picken began 1829, and it was completed in 1834.
From NPS Fort Pickens National Park Guide book:
"8. Generator Room. The concrete on the floor is evidence of the power station installed here in 1903. Gas-powered generators provided electricity for searchlights and other modern equipment."

Rob is a certified photographer based out of Pasadena, Maryland. Rob began his interest as a photographer as a Police Detective with the Hurlock Police Department. He is now retired and enjoys photography and travel. Mae is a student of photography under the tutilage of her husband, Rob. She moved to the US from the Philippines with Rob in 2022.
